Grabyo to produce localised, multi-platform live streams for Targa Newfoundland at IBC 2026
As part of the Dejero-led initiative, Grabyo will work with Tagboard, Lingopal and AWS Elemental Inference to produce branded, localised and vertical broadcasts from the live rally coverage.
London, UK – 3 September, 2026 – Targa Newfoundland will be broadcast live for the first time in its 25-year history. Grabyo will take that coverage and produce a series of additional live streams, demonstrating how a single live event can be transformed for a different platform, market and audience.
The wider initiative is being led by Dejero, Targa Newfoundland’s official critical connectivity partner, and brings together a global technology ecosystem spanning connectivity, edge computing, encoding, production and distribution.
Alongside Dejero, are presenting sponsors Eutelsat, Intel and ADLINK Technology, together with technology partners BLiNQ Networks, GlobalM, Grabyo, Jetwerx, Matrox Video and Network Innovations.
Together they will carry live coverage from more than 2,000 kilometres of remote road across Newfoundland.
Grabyo will receive clean and dirty feeds from the primary Targa Newfoundland broadcast and use them to produce additional live streams in Grabyo Live, demonstrated on the show floor at IBC 2026.
Working with Tagboard, Lingopal and AWS Elemental Inference, Grabyo will create outputs with their own graphics, language and vertical framing, showing how one live event can be produced differently for audiences across traditional, international and mobile-first platforms.
Producing more from one live event
The primary Targa Newfoundland broadcast will capture the action and tell the central story of the rally. Grabyo and its technology partners will then localise the host broadcast in real time:
- Grabyo Live as the cloud-production environment for creating and managing the additional live streams.
- Tagboard to deliver live graphics, branding and visual storytelling tailored to each output.
- Lingopal provides real-time language localisation for audiences in different markets.
- AWS Elemental Inference to power AI-assisted vertical reframing, following the rally action and producing a dedicated 9:16 stream for mobile viewers.
Each stream can have its own visual identity, presentation and audience experience while being produced from the same live coverage.
The production team builds on the primary broadcast rather than rebuilding a workflow for every output. Clean feeds allow new graphics and layouts. The fully produced feed can be used wherever the existing programme treatment is required.
One production is no longer one programme
Live sports audiences are spread across platforms, devices, regions and languages. The same horizontal programme does not serve all of them equally well.
Mobile audiences need framing designed for a vertical screen. International fans engage more with coverage in their own language. Platforms and commercial partners require their own graphics, branding and presentation.
Targa Newfoundland shows how those requirements can be met from a single cloud production.
Rather than redistributing the primary broadcast, Grabyo produces new streams with their own editorial and technical characteristics. This gives rights holders a way to expand the reach of an event without duplicating the on-site production.
“Sending one programme to more destinations is not the same as producing for more audiences. That is the difference we are showing at IBC,” said Gareth Capon, CEO of Grabyo.
“Dejero has brought together a remarkable technology ecosystem to make Targa Newfoundland live for the first time in its history. Grabyo’s role is to take that coverage and produce it for the audiences, platforms and markets it is intended to reach.
“Working with Tagboard, Lingopal and AWS Elemental Inference, we’ll build dedicated streams with their own graphics, language and framing, all from a single control room in the cloud.”

Grabyo’s multi-output workflow will run live at 2:00pm CEST daily during IBC 2026.
Live clean and dirty feeds will arrive directly from the Targa Newfoundland production and be used to create streams with Tagboard graphics, Lingopal language localisation and AI-assisted vertical reframing from AWS Elemental Inference.
