Mind the gap: what we’ve launched between NAB and IBC 2025

Evolving the cloud for real-world production

Since wrapping up at NAB in Las Vegas back in April, we’ve been building behind the scenes. While our next big product release is just around the corner, we’ve already made meaningful updates to Grabyo’s platform; from workflow enhancements and UX improvements to new tools that help teams move faster and deliver more, with less.

We’ve also shared new content, case studies and perspectives that reflect where production is heading and how we’re supporting teams at every level.

With IBC coming up in September, here’s a quick look at what’s changed since NAB, as well as a glimpse of what’s coming next.

Smart cloud production workflows

When we spoke to teams at NAB, the message was clear. Broadcast and production teams are under increasing pressure to deliver more live and on-demand content, with tighter resources and higher expectations across digital, mobile, and broadcast platforms.

In response, we’ve worked hard to evolve both Grabyo Producer and Grabyo Studio, and you’ll see the results at IBC Stand 5.A20.

We’re introducing a redesigned Producer interface built to make remote control, multiviewing and stream management faster and more intuitive. We’ve also brought more familiar control room features into the cloud, like key binding support and multi-action macros, helping teams reduce manual tasks and speed up repeatable workflows.

Two of the standout features this year, our AI-powered highlight clipping and Instant Replay, are now available as brand-new walkthrough videos. These aren’t new tools, but we know they’re some of the most valuable features for digital and broadcast teams, so we’ve created fresh video guides to make them even more accessible. Whether it’s packaging social-ready content or replaying key moments live, these tools are designed to help teams react in real time with minimal delay or complexity.

From a user experience perspective, we’ve also made upgrades across the platform. Our June and July releases included improvements to stream logging, live trimming, source routing, and more resilient failover support, all designed to keep your content live and discoverable without missing a beat.

More than tools. The results speak for themselves!

It’s not just about new features. Since NAB, we’ve also been focused on helping teams get more out of the tools already at their fingertips.

A great example is our recent collaboration with Crystal Palace Football Club🦅, who used Grabyo to transform their matchday content strategy across digital and social platforms. By streamlining production and accelerating distribution, they’ve been able to engage fans in real time while reducing pressure on their team. They’re now building an even broader strategy around pre-existing rights restrictions, using Grabyo to do more within the limits of what they can publish. Read the full case study here.

Another success story comes from the Professional Squash Association (PSA). At the 2025 J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions, they used our AI-powered live clipping and highlights solution to mark key moments in real time, collaborate seamlessly between their on-site broadcast team in New York and HQ in Leeds, and instantly publish share-ready clips via their syndication platform. This helped them scale production and distribution without extra resources, and position themselves as the go-to destination for squash content ahead of the sport’s inclusion in the 2028 Olympics.

Perspectives from the industry

Alongside product development, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the trends shaping the future of media, sport, and live content, so you don’t have to.

We’ve dug into how AI is helping rights holders extract more value from their content, and how leagues are experimenting with fan-first formats like alt-casting and vertical streams. We’ve also unpacked the real-world challenges of delivering low-latency streams at scale, and what it takes to meet rising viewer expectations.

Beyond the tech, we’ve explored the shifting media landscape: the decline of live sports TV, how the NCAA NIL settlement is reshaping college sports and recruitment, and what it all means for content strategies moving forward.

And for teams prioritising mobile-first engagement, our recent deep dive into short-form video breaks down why vertical, snackable content is becoming essential to stay visible in the feed.If you’re catching up, you can browse the latest thinking on our blog, or revisit our NAB wrap-up from earlier this year.

Looking ahead to IBC

All of this leads us to IBC 2025, where we’ll be showcasing the best of what we’ve built. Not just feature by feature, but in real-world workflows for production teams of all sizes.

If you’re heading to Amsterdam, come and see us at Stand 5.A20. You’ll find live demos of AI clipping, instant replay, ad insertion workflows, vertical streaming setups, and much more all powered by a cloud platform that continues to evolve around how teams actually work.

And if you’re not attending? No problem. We’d be happy to run you through a virtual walkthrough or send over the resources that matter most to your team.

Stay in touch.
