AI-powered live clipping & highlights with the PSA

The Opportunity

The Professional Squash Association (PSA) is the global governing body responsible for the administration of both men’s and women’s professional squash around the world.

The organization hosts over 1,000 events every year, including world events, challenger events and satellite events. The majority of these are broadcast to Squash TV, PSA’s owned and operated OTT platform, as well as various broadcast partners around the globe.

With a modest-sized team, the PSA needs to build social and digital video production workflows that are scalable and sustainable to grow the profile of the sport, and its players, worldwide.

At the 2025 J.P Morgan Tournament of Champions, we caught up with the PSA team to find out more.

The Workflow

For the J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions, the PSA sent a broadcast team and a social media team on-site to New York, collaborating with its HQ team in Leeds.

During the tournament, the PSA team ingested the tournament’s live broadcast output into Grabyo for live clipping and highlights creation. As a cloud-native platform, all teams could collaborate in real-time from both locations.

Using our AI logging and highlights solution, key moments during each match were marked in the live recording with time codes, information and metadata, instantly ready for discovery, publishing or export within our live clipping interface.

The team on the ground then published clips to PSA’s social channels in real-time, while back at HQ in Leeds, editors created highlights packages using a combination of Magnifi and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Alongside this, the PSA team also leveraged our integration with Socialie, the content syndication platform. Any clips created in Grabyo become instantly available in PSA’s Socialie account, ready for rapid distribution to relevant players, sponsors and partners.

The Results

This workflow brings each of PSA’s content and media teams together in one centralized platform. Its on-site teams and remote teams are able to collaborate and share video content for various different formats and channels.

Our AI logging functionality enables its teams to easily discover and retrieve key moments from each match, either in real time or post-event.

This has allowed the PSA to scale up its video production and distribution without additional resource, delivering content to fans, sponsors and players in one seamless workflow.

All of these enhancements are allowing the PSA to position itself as the primary brand and channel for squash content ahead of the sport’s inclusion in the 2028 Olympics, also serving its key partners and players with content to capitalize on the opportunity.
