Grabyo Studio update: Logging, trimming and stream management upgrades
Welcome to another bumper feature update for our live clipping, editing and publishing platform, Grabyo Studio.
We’ve got a bunch of workflow upgrades and new platform management tools for you and your team.
Let’s dive in!
Upgraded markers, logging and trimming
We’ve boosted discoverability and logging in your live clipping DVR with a set of new marker functionalities. These updates allow you and your team to execute multiple workflows with your stream, with the ability to find the content you need for multiple purposes.
Marker ratings
Firstly, our new ratings system for markers gives you the ability to rate moments based on a 1-5 star system.
All automated markers generated by Magnifi will include the rating given by the Magnifi platform in your clipping interface. You are also able to manually set or edit ratings for all markers.

Alongside this, we have extended our advanced search of markers in your trimming interface, to include a filter for ratings. This will allow you to find the best moments faster and more easily.
Set marker types and generate markers from clipping
We’ve also released the ability to generate markers from clips you’ve created, logging clipped moments for easy discovery and retrieval later on. This boosts collaboration in your teams, with the ability to see which moments have been clipped by other users.
You can now also manually or automatically set marker types. This distinguishes between automated and manual markers, plus segment and moment markers.
This is also available in the advanced search to allow you to filter for the content you need during your events or afterwards.
Timeline zoom and seeking
We have also updated the zoom behaviour in your clipping timeline. Previously, zooming on the timeline would focus on the center of the timeline.
Now, if the playhead is visible in your working area, zooming in will continue to focus around the playhead. However, if the playhead is not visible, and you’re seeking to another moment in your event timeline, zooming in will focus on the center of the visible timeline.
Stream and user management
Bulk start & stop streams
We’ve added the ability to start and stop multiple streams from your Grabyo homepage.
This update comes after working with a number of our customers who need to manage multiple streams during an event, or those who have simultaneous events taking place.
This update allows you to choose which streams to start and stop at the same time in bulk, so your users can begin creating clips or producing live content.
Faster, easier user creation
Another time-saving feature we’ve released gives you the ability to duplicate user profiles and permissions for new members of your team.
When managing users, we’ve added a new copy button. Hitting copy on an existing user will populate a new user profile, duplicating settings from the original user including roles, MFA, campaign permissions, and stream permissions.

From there, all you need to do is fill in the name and email of your new user.
To speed things up even further, we have a invite and create new button, which means you can duplicate one user to create as many new ones as you need without repeating steps.
Enhanced tracking and analytics
For monitoring your organization’s usage of Grabyo, you can now review up to 12 months’ activity at once in your usage summary dashboard.
This feature is only accessible to managers and admins within your Grabyo account, who can access a comprehensive breakdown of Grabyo usage.
That’s it for now! If you’d like to trial any of these features and you don’t have a Grabyo account, get in touch with us for a free trial. For our current customers, get in touch with your customer success manager if you have any questions.
