We have made significant progress since launching last summer. We have worked with major broadcasters such as Channel 5 and Setanta Sports on some of the most popular TV formats. We have also now upgraded our platform to incorporate a range of features that optimise broadcasters’ content rights across Twitter and Facebook, in addition to their own web and mobile properties.
I am extremely excited to be starting a new chapter in the growth of Grabyo, as we welcome Gareth Capon as the company’s new CEO. Gareth will be driving the company’s expansion as broadcasters wake up to the opportunities around short-form live video.
Gareth Capon joins us from BSkyB, where he led strategy and product development for Sky’s market-leading mobile applications portfolio; including award-winning product innovation such as the tablet and mobile companion experiences for Sky Sports. He brings with him a wealth of experience in mobile and social TV, and his decision to take on this role really demonstrates the potential in this new space.
Gareth will now be building our strategic partnerships with broadcasters and rights holders, as well as creating new value from the commercial opportunities around live video clips. With him on board, we will be able to drive revenue growth as well as accelerate the development of our world-leading platform for real-time clip sharing.
