Grabyo targets broadcast productions with cloud platform updates at NAB 2023
We’re adding advanced audio mixing and hardware integrations to our platform to deliver broadcast-quality live productions in the cloud.
We’re excited to announce major updates to our platform that will debut at NAB 2023, including an advanced audio mixing service and hardware device integrations with customized user controls.
Why are we so excited? These updates mean that we have become the first video production platform to offer the functionality of broadcast-grade production in a cloud-native environment.
Our platform provides customers with the capabilities for high-quality broadcasting and event production, offering the flexibility to cut costs and reduce carbon emissions using remote and distributed production workflows.
The new audio mixer and routing controls will bring many of the advanced features of traditional mixing desks to our current audio system, including channel strips, paths, AFL and PFL soloing with support for mono, stereo and 5.1 surround sound outputs. It will offer customizable user configurations to optimize the audio workflow for specific events or broadcasts.
We’re also releasing support for a range of hardware devices and control surfaces to streamline the transition from traditional production to the cloud. Users will be able to map hardware consoles, such as MIDI devices, to control inputs across Grabyo’s cloud platform based on individual user preferences.
These updates will be combined with Grabyo Producer‘s existing feature set for live production, which includes vision mixing, instant replay, multiviewers, remote guest contribution, broadcast graphics support and SRT, Zixi and RiST ingest/egress.
“We are proud to have reached this milestone which, we believe, marks a step forward for the broadcast industry. The barriers to adopting more flexible, cost-effective and sustainable video workflows in the cloud are now falling away. Our customers have shown you can achieve outstanding levels of production without the need for trucks, studios or a huge on-site crew. The transition to cloud production for live broadcasting will accelerate from here and we are excited to be a part of it.”
Gareth Capon, Grabyo CEO
Last, by no means least, we will also showcase new releases to Grabyo Studio, our live clipping and publishing platform used by major broadcasters, sports organizations and publishers in more than 40 countries. These updates include live stream logging, metadata search and Instagram Reels publishing.
We’ll be exhibiting at NAB 2023 in the North Hall at the UK Pavilion, booth N2873.
