Grabyo partners with MTV to deliver a remote pop-up gameshow
MTV created a new six-episode digital gameshow produced remotely using Grabyo and broadcast to Facebook Live and YouTube.
With the current requirements for people to stay at home comes the challenge of creating engaging broadcasts without the traditional studio setup.
This week, we partnered with MTV International to create a new digital gameshow produced entirely remotely. From conception to execution, the setup took a few days to create a new digital gameshow series, “MTV Game Night With Charlotte Crosby”.
The series will consist of six 30 minutes episodes and is broadcast from Crosby’s kitchen live to the MTV Facebook and YouTube channels.
Using Producer Guest, and our support for the conferencing tool Zoom, MTV was able to bring in two guests to participate in Crosby’s quiz and have everyone interact with each other.
The guests contributed their audio and video to the live broadcast from the comfort of their homes by participating in a standard Zoom call from their phone or laptop, making it simple for the guests to join the broadcast.
Broadcasting the show to Facebook and YouTube allowed fans to engage with the guests, participate in the quiz as well as commenting on the activity on-screen. Encouraging the involvement of fans has allowed MTV to create a community experience for fans of the channels and the guests. In the current climate, delivering engaging content fans is challenging but reacting quickly has allowed MTV to deliver relevant and unique content.
Accessible anywhere and only requiring a web browser or smartphone, the workflow provides MTV with a simple and powerful solution to deliver remote content whilst bringing in guests from any location.
