How NASCAR, Motorsport.TV and MotoGP engage motorsport fans using real-time video and live streams

Over the past 12 months, the motorsport industry has needed to quickly adapt to a world where on-site productions have been challenging and with limits.

Grabyo’s remote production capabilities have allowed organizations to seamlessly transition to delivering digital content from the safety of their own homes, delivering engaging experiences to fans virtually, without compromising on quality.

The priority for race event organizers and rights holders has been maintaining a connection to fans who have not been able to attend events in person.

Grabyo’s cloud-based live production tools have allowed the likes of NASCAR and MotoGP to deliver live content, highlights and behind-the-sce content across multiple platforms, giving attendees increased access to races like never before.

Here are some examples of how NASCAR, MotoGP and Motorsport.tv used Grabyo to deliver its content completely through the cloud.

Nascar partners with Grabyo to enhance digital content capabilities

NASCAR, the world’s premier stock car racing association, used Grabyo to shift its digital video production workflow to a hybrid model, leveraging the cloud to bolster its digital content capabilities ahead of the GEICO 500 NASCAR Cup Series event at the Talladega Superspeedway.

Using Grabyo Producer, NASCAR produces several multimedia content series, including podcasts like “Stacking Pennies” and “Glass Case of Emotion”, as well as video series like “Backseat Drivers” – all of which were published to NASCAR.com.

Each show is custom branded with graphics and b-roll footage, alongside a mix of archival content from NASCAR’s historical library. The shows are mixed and delivered in the cloud using Grabyo Producer, giving NASCAR’s content team complete control of their content from any location.

NASCAR’s production teams also use Grabyo’s Studio platform to clip, edit and distribute shoulder video content to multiple social and digital platforms simultaneously, ensuring fans never miss a moment.

Motorsport.tv partners with Grabyo to deliver the world’s first live digital motorsports news channel

Motorsport.tv partnered with Grabyo to produce the world’s first live digital news channel for motorsports, Motorsport.tv Live. The channel provides accessible coverage of motorsport and breaking news across the globe.

Motorsport.tv uses Grabyo Producer, Grabyo’s cloud-based live production platform, to create its daily live news programming to cover major news and features for the leading racing properties such as F1, Formula E, MotoGP, NASCAR, Extreme E and many others.
