We’re delighted to announce a significant update to our live production platform, Grabyo Producer. Our new media player feature brings the traditional workflow of queuing and playing VOD content in live productions, reimagined in a web browser. 

Media players within Grabyo Producer, similar to traditional hardware-based workflows, act as a live source within your Control Room. 

VOD playout using a media player is completely separated from your on-air content and has its own live output, which means you can monitor the video source in your multiviewer and adjust audio levels in your audio mixer at any time.

You can queue VOD clips (including instant replays) and create playlists to bring into live productions. You can control playback speed, pause clips and skip back/forward to control VOD playout while it’s on or off-air. 

The addition of media players to Producer brings new levels of flexibility to live workflows for production teams of any size. 

For smaller teams, a technical director or producer can control VOD playout within their Control Room while managing other aspects of the live broadcast, without the need to add or manage individual VOD assets in their production layers. 

For larger teams and high-end productions, dedicated tape room operators can fully manage VOD playout and playlists, while technical directors can remain entirely focused on their role in the production.
