Grabyo releases broadcast-grade video ingest, detachable monitors, and flexible stream management
We are excited to announce a number of new features and upgrades to our live production, clipping and editing tools in Grabyo.
The Grabyo mission is to simplify video production and make it accessible to everyone, bringing the functionality of traditional hardware into a flexible, browser-based production workflow.
Say hello to SRT, Zixi, RiST and more
With today’s launch of Pro Ingest we have released the ability to ingest high-fidelity streams into Grabyo in a number of widely used video protocols.
Grabyo customers can now ingest video into our platform using the SRT, Zixi, RiST, RTP and RTMP protocols, supporting mezzanine video formats up to 120Mbps.
We will be following up this release with the option to egress live video in all of these formats soon. In the meantime, our partners can enjoy ultra-low latency production of high-definition video delivered to every screen – from TV to smartphone.
Detachable monitors
Another key UX update for Grabyo Producer is the launch of detachable monitors. This upgrade allows preview and program windows to pop out of producer and be viewed separately from the production area, distributing the Producer Control Room across multiple screens.
This update brings more flexibility to your Producer workspace. With the ability to resize and rename production layers, you can now free more space by moving the preview and program windows to separate screens to focus on vision mixing and managing your assets. The preview/program windows can be viewed on another screen or monitor, and each user can configure the Control Room workspace as they like.
Flexible stream management
Whether you are clipping from a live feed in Grabyo Studio, or ingesting live video into Grabyo Producer, you can now manage your streams more efficiently in Grabyo.
Any organization can now closely control which live streams are ingested by Grabyo and during which periods. You can set up a live stream, turn it on for a specific event, and then turn it off afterward. You can turn any stream back on anytime, in a matter of seconds.
Flexible live recording and clipping is optional for users, combined with variable usage-based pricing plans, and users are still able to continuously ingest live video to the Grabyo platform if they wish.
This update provides more flexibility in managing live streams and live sources. Using Grabyo, you only pay for what you use, and can scale your use of the platform up or down depending on your current needs.
