Grabyo proudly supports Andy Murray Live 2017

Grabyo was proud to once again support Andy Murray Live, a charity Tennis match between Andy Murray and Roger Federer, streamed to Facebook Live. The fundraiser, held at The SSE Hydro Glasgow, raised money for Unicef UK and local charity Sunny-sid3up.

Through Grabyo, Andy Murray Live was able to integrate directly with Facebook Donations, a way for publishers, charities and nonprofits to collaborate together, raising money directly through the addition of a donate button to Facebook Live posts. The broadcast raised over £5,000 on the night for the charities.

The event was simulcast to both Facebook Live and Eurosport, and by using Grabyo Producer, the team behind Andy Murray Live was able to produce a unique viewing experience for those on Facebook Live, featuring the addition of branded graphics and intermittent donation prompts over the broadcast.

Grabyo Producer is a browser-based live production suite, capable of creating broadcast quality live shows for social and digital platforms. Grabyo provides its partners with the support and flexibility to create a purpose-built show for a social audience, including the addition of multiple live inputs, pre-recorded video assets, real-time social comments, polls, data and graphics optimized for social viewing.

This is the latest example of Facebook Donations being used through Grabyo. It’s simple to add a donate button through Grabyo and with over 150 million Facebook fans connected to nonprofits on Facebook, this makes it easier for public figures, brands and publishers to use Facebook as a mechanism to raise money and awareness for their chosen nonprofits.
