There has been a lot happening at Grabyo in recent weeks. We featured in a panel talking social video in sport at Web Summit, announced a partnership with LaLiga and hosted a 24-hour Hackathon at Grabyo HQ. But, behind-the-scenes we have been working hard on the platform to deliver the capability updates and enhancements you have asked for. Your feedback is important to us and so we didn’t want these recent changes to slip under the radar.

Updated Mentions UI

We launched Mentions just over a year ago to make it easier to tag Facebook and Twitter users for videos posted from Grabyo.

As soon as you enter ‘@’ and begin typing the name of a person you want to mention, an auto-complete list appears on the left with a list of users. This allows you to ‘tag’ them in your post so the content is also potentially shared with users who follow the tagged person, even if they don’t follow your account themselves. Today we are launching a new design for Grabyo Mentions to make it simpler and faster to use.

For those that haven’t tried ‘Mentions’ – now is a great time. By adding ‘Mentions’, you increase the potential of your clip both in terms of engagement and reach.

Improved clip previews in your personalized video feed

Ever wished you could preview your personalized social video clips with your intro/outro bumpers included? For some of you that is definitely a yes because you let us know and we’ve made it happen.

You can now preview and download clips with bumpers attached to view exactly how they will appear in each respective social media platform’s native video player. We support distribution to Facebook, YouTube and Twitter and we know how important it is to make sure your content looks great in all three of these platforms. This preview ability allows you to make sure your content is exactly how you want it to appear before reaching your audience.

These video assets allow you to promote marketing objectives, and add calls-to-action to drive traffic to your website, tune-ins, merchandise purchases, app referrals… the list goes on!

Upgraded Video Uploader

A lot of users upload VOD/archive footage for editing in the Grabyo platform. Previously, we only supported single file upload, but many of you have indicated that you want to bring in multiple files for clip editing and social video distribution.

To meet this need we have enabled ‘bulk uploading’ so Grabyo users can now upload multiple VOD files into Grabyo in one go.

Also, for those users that are on-the-go when uploading content, we’ve not only made uploading content quicker, but you can now upload from multiple sources including Dropbox, Google Drive, FTP and more. The same applies for Creative Sets. Upload on-the-go, from anywhere.
