Grabyo is delighted to be amongst the nominees for the 2017 BT Sport Industry Awards 2017.

Grabyo has been shortlisted alongside Arsenal FC (Junior Gunners App), BBC Sport, Channel 4 (Rio 2016 Paralympics), England and Wales Cricket Board and Goal for ‘Best Digital Platform.’ To be in such esteemed company is a testament to the growth of Grabyo and the Grabyo platform.

In 2016 Grabyo generated over 15B impressions and 2.1B video views for partners, which now include beIN Sports, the English Premier League, LaLiga, BT Sport, Real Madrid, ATP, Wimbledon, Formula E Racing, Universal Music Group and many more.

Alongside impressive usage growth, Grabyo was named a Facebook preferred partner for Facebook Live, demonstrating the platform’s live capabilities at Facebook’s developer conference ‘F8’. Grabyo has also gone on to forge strong partnerships with key media and technology companies – including Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Periscope and Snapchat.

Also nominated are Grabyo partners BT Sport, Southampton FC, the Premier League and England Rugby for awards across 15 categories for impressive work across sport in 2016.

In the ‘Cutting Edge Sports’ category, English Premier League football club and Grabyo partner Southampton has been nominated for work done on reinventing digital rights. In October the football club relaunched its website and has been rethinking the way it engages with fans over digital, including using Grabyo to announce new signings such as Sofiane Boufal.

The official shortlist for the awards was selected through an extensive Steering Process – involving more than 60 key industry figures across two weeks of intensive judging.

The event takes place on 27th April and will see over 1,750 major players from the world of sport, business and entertainment come together for an unforgettable night celebrating the standout work from across the sporting world.
