The Challenge

The Hexagon Cup is a brand new padel tournament born under the slogan “For the Fans. For the Players. For the Game.” The new brand hosted its debut, five-day tournament at the end of January 2024 in Madrid, with the mission of growing the sport of padel across Europe.

As a new brand, with a new tournament, Hexagon Cup needed to generate awareness and grow its social audience from scratch. Its two main objectives were to bring fans to the venue and give the Hexagon Cup brand a foundation of brand recognition to build audiences for future iterations.

The Workflow

Hexagon Cup worked closely with agency LightBros to deliver real-time highlights and social videos using Grabyo Studio.

Live feeds from each court were ingested into Grabyo for highlights to be clipped, edited and published in real-time across YouTube, Instagram and X (formerly known as Twitter), all within Grabyo’s platform.

The team also dropped video markers throughout each day to log key moments in the live recordings, enabling seamless retrieval of clips and moments for post-event edits.

The Results

Hexagon Cup was able to reach a truly global audience using real-time highlights and live streams on social media.

Results included:

  • 27,000 new followers across every social channel
  • 102,250 social engagements across every social channel
  • 4.6 million views across every social channel
