The Challenge
Since the beginning of Channel 4’s coverage of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in 2012, the broadcaster has developed and evolved its content strategy across linear, digital and social platforms.
For the 2024 Paralympics, one of Channel 4’s primary aims was to reach younger demographics in the UK, particularly focusing on under 34s age demographic. To do this, its recently-launched Channel 4 Sport department needed to deliver live coverage and accessible video content across the most-used channels for younger fans.
The Workflow: Live streaming to YouTube
Channel 4 enlisted the services of 42Live, a production agency based in the UK, who managed live streaming over 1300 hours of live Paralympics coverage to YouTube using Grabyo Producer. Learn more about the workflow in the video below.
The Workflow: Live clipping for social audiences
Channel 4 Sport ingested its Paralympic broadcast feeds into Grabyo Studio to clip, edit and publish highlights across multiple social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook and more. Learn more in the video below.
