Introducing Facebook ‘branded content’ using Grabyo…
The holy grail of social media is ROI. Since rights holders, brands and publishers began sharing video content to social platforms, demand for monetising that content has been high.
Video advertising is not new. In-stream ads, product placement, sponsorship branding, pre-roll/post-roll are all present on a daily basis when watching video on television, websites and mobile apps – but rarely on social platforms.
That revenue is now here.
Introducing Grabyo’s latest feature – Branded Content for Facebook videos.
Recently, Facebook updated its branded content policy to allow publishers with verified Pages to collaborate with marketers to share content on Facebook through ads or organic posts. With more than 85% of video views generated via Grabyo coming from Facebook, and increasing demand for monetisation from our customers, we developed a branded content capability for our video platform.
If you want to monetise your social video content, read on:
Who can create branded content?
Verified Facebook Pages – commonly owned by publishers, brands and celebrities.
What does branded content look like?
Branded content can feature multiple assets:
- A ‘tag’
- A graphic or text sponsored overlay
- An end-slate
Why is branded content important?
The key benefits of branded content for brand partners and sponsors are:
- direct brand attribution for native videos published on Facebook
- ability for publishers to monetise their organic reach, using branded video
- option for brands and sponsors to view performance insights such as views, engagement and reach metrics.
For example, FIA Formula E partners with Grabyo to highlight our association with the sport. The Formula E team ‘tagged’ Grabyo in their branded video, allowing the Grabyo marketing team to access that post and monitor its success in the same way as an administrator of the FIA Formula E page.
Secondly, the tagged brand can boost the content with advertising spend. In the example above, Grabyo ‘boosted’ FIA Formula E’s video, and set the campaign to target Grabyo’s intended demographic. This grew the content video views by 181% and reach by 70% at a CPC of £0.003.
