The latest update to our live production platform provides additional support for out of band workflows and director talkback, perfect for remote broadcast, live workflows and eSports.
With the increased reliance on remote working and remote broadcast, Grabyo today announces enhanced support for remote chat and commentary using third-party conferencing tools such as Zoom, Discord, Skype and Google Meet/Hangouts.
This functionality is added to Producer Guest, our existing remote contribution app that allows external guests to participate in a live broadcast.
Users can now bring in live guests from any location, allowing them to contribute their audio and video to a live broadcast remotely. Joining a broadcast is easy, with guests sending audio from their preferred conferencing tool, while using Producer Guest to contribute video to live broadcasts. Guests can also communicate with an off-screen director and each of the other live participants for the duration.
Producer Guest can be run using just a web browser or smartphone.
Accessible anywhere, this workflow provides broadcasters, rights holders and publishers with a simple, powerful solution to deliver remote commentary to a live broadcast with guests from any location, or tailor distribution with local commentary or voiceovers.
Fully produced eSports experiences in the cloud
eSports teams, leagues, publishers or game manufacturers can produce a fully live remote broadcast while maintaining the quality and experience that fans have come to expect.
Players can contribute game feeds and appear on the broadcast from the comfort and safety of their own homes, whilst creating a custom branded experience that enables for live comments and polls in real-time.
Players need only to broadcast live from their consoles, alongside a laptop with a webcam and headphones.
Remote guest commentary
In a time of limited new live content, many publishers are turning to historic content to engage with fans. This update enables digital teams to enhance the VOD ‘as live’ to create a live experience using old content, furthering the communal live experience by bringing in live remote commentators.
For news outlets and broadcasters, remote guests can add commentary to news packages, or teams can bring in experts to add context to content. Talk-shows, debates or panel sessions can be held remotely, with constant communication between producers and talent.
Virtual conferences in the cloud
Industry bodies, trade shows or brands can also easily set up virtual conferences and collaborate with speakers.
With many people now working from home, virtual conferences will be the best option for reaching a large audience. Using this new update, organizations can set up an engaging event with multiple speakers, while utilizing Producer’s interactivity tools, such as polls, and overlaying graphics such as social media interactions.
