Here's some of our favorite content production ideas from around the sports and broadcast industry this past week.
During these uncertain times, with people staying at home instead of working from their offices and studios, content production has had to change. Fans and consumers want to feel connected now more than ever, and for the time being this has to be through virtual means. This has resulted in some very creative participation and viewing experiences by federations, sports athletes and broadcasters.
You can challenge professional athletes at their own discipline, get your football fix in a virtual tournament or have a bedtime story read to you by your footballing hero.
F1's Virtual Grand Prix
Formula One has created a Virtual Grand Prix series set to replace its canceled races for the foreseeable future. This allows fans to keep watching their favorite drivers while they take on a host of celebrities. F1 is hosting the broadcast live from Gfinity Esports Arena and the series will allow the competitors to join remotely, while viewers watch from the safety of their homes via the Sky Sports channels or their YouTube channel. F1 Virtual Bahrain GP airs live on Sky Sports channels.

Race the best with Zwift
British Cycling and Sport England have teamed up with Zwift to invite professionals from the cycling world to virtually lead cycles with Zwift's user-base on different courses across the world. This will allow people to join a virtual cycle of hundreds of people and pit themselves against the top of the crop. As well as engaging with the customer base of Zwift, the athletes also have a safe means of training.

Bedtime stories on TalkSport
Amongst the current pandemic, people are looking for different ways to connect with their audiences and bring some light relief. TalkSport has hosted football players from Nottingham Forest reading bedtime stories on their radio show, bringing Forest defender Joe Worrall into their live radio broadcast remotely, via live stream.

No Football No Problem
Content production teams from football clubs' are creating fun alternative fan experiences. Our partner Southampton played Manchester City in a game of naughts and crosses between their Twitter accounts.
