FFmpeg, Wowza, DVR, Encoding, Live streaming, Cloud transcoding, HLS, RTMP, HDS, MPEG-DASH, Amazon Web Services, Ruby, C++. These are some of the state-of-the-art technologies that you will be working with.
As a Junior Software Engineer, you will help design and build our live video encoding platform to provide innovative media services, at scale.
Not only will the role involve in-depth development, but also research and experimentations, where your passion for streaming protocols and new technologies will drive your motivation to take our video platform to the next level.
Specific responsibilities of a Junior Software Engineer at Grabyo include (but are not limited to):
Iterating, optimizing and monitoring the core video platform
R&D projects to ensure the platform stays up to date with industry standards, from encoding to streaming servers and protocols
Collaborating closely with engineers and architects to guarantee that the video platform will support the technical needs of our visionary roadmap
Integrating with third party video APIs to maximize the reach of our content
Taking ownership over your work/project by building, maintaining and iterating new features and new products
Demonstrable expertise and experience in Linux and at least one scripting language (C++ and Ruby preferred)
